The EduTek program is a 19-month (5 trimesters) full-time program that prepares students to teach in French-language secondary schools in Ontario. The program is offered in a blended format, with online and in-person courses.

Program Overview

The program is designed for individuals with a professional background in technology who want to become teachers. It provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to teach in various technological fields at the intermediate and senior levels (grades 9-12).

Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission, applicants must meet one of the following five options:

1. Option 1: Certificate in Education (Cert.…d.)
   • Education: High school diploma
   • Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience (non-teaching) in the field of technology
   • Documents: High school diploma, proof of experience
2. Option 2: Certificate in Education (Cert.…d.)
   • Education: High school diploma, certificate of qualification in a skilled trade, or college diploma (1-year program)
   • Experience: Minimum 4 years of professional experience (non-teaching) in the field of technology, with at least 4 consecutive months
   • Documents: High school diploma, certificate of qualification, proof of experience
3. Option 3: Certificate in Education (Cert.…d.)
   • Education: High school diploma, college diploma (2-year program) in the field of technology
   • Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional experience (non-teaching) in the field of technology, with at least 4 consecutive months
   • Documents: High school diploma, college diploma, proof of experience
4. Option 4: Certificate in Education (Cert.…d.)
   • Education: High school diploma, advanced college diploma (3-year program) in the field of technology
   • Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience (non-teaching) in the field of technology, with at least 4 consecutive months
   • Documents: High school diploma, advanced college diploma, proof of experience
5. Option 5: Bachelor of Education in Technological Education (B.…d.)
   • Education: Bachelor's degree (minimum 90 credits) in the field of technology
   • Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience (non-teaching) in the field of technology, with at least 4 consecutive months
   • Documents: Bachelor's degree transcript, proof of experience

Program Structure

The program consists of 60 credits, with courses offered online and in-person. Students must complete a minimum of 80 days of internship in a secondary school setting.

Applicants must pass the French language proficiency test (TCLF-EduTek) to be considered for admission.
