Microprogram psychedelic studies and spirituality
Program Overview
Microprogramme in Psychedelic Studies and Spirituality
The Microprogramme in Psychedelic Studies and Spirituality is situated at the intersection of several disciplines, including religion, psychology, anthropology, and health. It involves the examination of the spiritual, ritual, and therapeutic uses of psychedelics and other states of consciousness, across cultures and throughout history. Medicinal plants have been an essential part of human ritual and religious traditions for millennia. Their ability to evoke feelings of empathy and gratitude, as well as to bring about increased sense and insight, has made them important tools for human spirituality and well-being, and has led to a renewed scientific interest in recent years.
