Program Overview


Introduction to the Graduate Diploma in Music Performance

The Graduate Diploma in Music Performance is a postgraduate program designed for talented instrumentalists and singers who have already achieved a high level of technical and artistic competence. The program offers intensive and specialized training, focusing on the development of artistic practice to refine interpretive skills.


Program Structure

The program is offered in two delivery modes: on-campus and online. The online delivery mode is available only for instrumentalists. Typically, the program can be completed within one academic year (September to April). Students can enroll in the program at any time after completing a Bachelor of Music (BMus) or Master of Music (MMus). All students must satisfy the program requirements within a maximum of two years.


Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the program, applicants must hold a Bachelor of Music, a specialized Bachelor of Music, or an equivalent degree. The minimum average grade required for admission is 75% (B+). Additionally, applicants must pass an examination before a jury. Students must have a good spoken and written knowledge of either French or English and a passive knowledge of the second official language. According to university regulations, students can write their assignments and exams in the official language of their choice (French or English).
