Program Overview

Introduction to the BASc Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering Option

The BASc Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering Option is a comprehensive program that combines the principles of chemical engineering with a focus on environmental engineering. This program is offered in both English and French, with courses in the first two years available in both languages and courses in the third and fourth years primarily in English.

Program Overview

Chemical engineering is an interdisciplinary field that applies knowledge of basic and applied sciences, economics, and health and safety to sustainably process raw natural materials into finished products. Graduates of this program can work in various industries, addressing challenges such as optimizing processes, monitoring pollution, converting renewable energy, processing foods and drugs, and manufacturing new materials.
