Course Sequence

The Doctor of Philosophy in Rehabilitation Sciences (Ph.D.) is a graduate program that aims to train high-level rehabilitation researchers and professionals.


Admission in Fall 2025 or After

Students admitted in fall 2025 or later must follow the following course plan:


  • 1st year:
    • REA 7501 Team research and interdisciplinary methodology
    • REA 7103 Seminar on knowledge transfer
  • 1st year (continued):
    • REA 7102 Research seminar on the functioning of the person and on rehabilitation models
    • Optional course (3 credits) chosen from the list of optional courses
  • 1st year (end):
    • REA 9998 Comprehensive exam (CTN)
  • 2nd year:
    • REA 9998 Comprehensive exam (CTN)
    • REA 9997 Thesis proposal (CTN)
  • 2nd year (continued):

  1. To replace an optional course with a 3-credit elective course in graduate studies, students must obtain approval from the course professor, the thesis supervisor, as well as the director of the School of Rehabilitation Sciences.
  2. Students must register for this activity each term until it is completed.
