French Immersion Stream

Diploma Requirements

To receive a mention of French Immersion on the diploma, students must:

• Complete the program requirements.
• Complete at least 36 units (12 courses) taught in French or in French Second Language (FLS) from:
  • A minimum of 6 course units (2 courses) at the 1000 level.
  • A maximum of 12 units (4 courses) for accompanying language courses (FLS 2581, 3581, 4581, and 4781), with a maximum of 6 units (2 courses) for FLS 2581.
  • At least 6 units (2 courses) at the 3000 or 4000 level taught in French, other than FLS courses.
• Pass FLS 3500 to obtain the Second Language Certification.
