Introduction to the Master's Program

The Master's Program in Fundamental Rights, Guarantee, and Protection of Human Rights is offered by the University Carlos III of Madrid. This program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to defend, promote, and exercise human rights in various sectors, including institutions, organizations, and the business sector.

Objectives

The primary objective of this master's program is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of human rights, including their theoretical foundations, legal frameworks, and practical applications. Admission Requirements

• The Master's program is open to graduates in any field, particularly those in Law, Social Work, Political Science, International Studies, Psychology, Sociology, Journalism, History, Social Sciences, Anthropology, and Humanities.
• A positive evaluation is given to those who have a good command of Spanish and are engaged or wish to engage in activities related to the defense, promotion, exercise, teaching, or research of human rights.
• The selection process is continuous, taking into account the academic record and personal interest in human rights.

Tuition Fees

The tuition fee for the Master's program is 4,000 euros, which can be paid in three installments.

Scholarships

The Rodolfo Benito Samaniego Foundation offers two scholarships of 2,000 euros each for the Master's program. The scholarships are awarded based on the candidate's trajectory and projection in the field of human rights protection, academic record, and financial need.

Professional Outcomes

Graduates of the Master's program can work in various organizations, including public institutions, governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, law firms, foundations, associations, and consultancies. The program provides students with the theoretical and practical tools to address human rights issues from a comprehensive and interdisciplinary perspective.

Duration and Organization

The Master's program lasts for one academic year, with a full-time dedication, starting in September and ending in July. The program includes a combination of theoretical and practical courses, seminars, and a practicum.
