Program Overview
Introduction to the Master's Program
The Master's Program in Health Evaluation and Market Access (Pharmaco-Economics) is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the economic evaluation of health technologies and market access for pharmaceuticals and health products.
Objectives
The primary objective of the program is to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to evaluate the economic value of health technologies and negotiate market access. The program aims to foster innovation, market access, and patient access to effective and efficient pharmaceuticals and health products.
Format, Calendar, and Horarios
The program commences on October 5th and concludes in June. The presentation of theses will take place in September. A detailed calendar will be provided to enrolled students.
- Classes can be attended in person at the Puerta de Toledo campus or via video conference from any computer.
- A total of 240 hours of classes will be held.
- Video conferences are interactive, allowing students to ask questions in real-time.
- Classes are recorded and available for review on the course platform.
- Weekly distance tutoring sessions will be held via chat with professors.
Evaluation System
The evaluation and completion of the Master's program are based on the following criteria:
- Trabajo Fin de Mįster (TFM): A research project directed by the faculty and presented in a public session in September. The TFM represents 35% of the final grade.
- Evaluación continua de los contenidos tratados: Five partial evaluations will be conducted, accounting for 40% of the final grade.
- Seguimiento del Mįster: Represents 25% of the final grade.
Admission
To be admitted to the Master's Program in Health Evaluation and Market Access, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a graduate, licentiate, or engineer.
- Have a strong command of Spanish.
- Preferably have a degree in a field such as Administration of Companies, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Law, Economics, Nursing, Statistics, Pharmacy, Engineering, or Medicine.
- Have professional experience in the health or pharmaceutical sector (valued positively).
- Submit the required documentation, including:
- Application for admission
- Copy of academic title
- Academic transcript
- Curriculum Vitae
- Letter of motivation
- Copy of identification document (NIF or NIE for Spanish citizens, passport for foreigners)
- Copy of postgraduate titles (Master's, Doctorates, etc.)
- Commitment to complete studies (if not already completed)
Tuition Fees
The tuition fee for the program is 8,000, which includes:
- Right to attend classes
- Access to video conferences and the course platform
- Documentation and use of university facilities and services
Financial Aid
The Master's program, without commitment from the university, negotiates to obtain a fund of aids, financed by the program's sponsors, which could represent a reduction of up to 50% of the tuition fee. These aids are conditional on the availability of funds and will be announced among enrolled students.
