Master's Degree Programme in International Business and Entrepreneurship
The Master's Degree Programme in International Business and Entrepreneurship (IBE) provides students with competences that are applicable in different sectors of the economy, different types of jobs, and different environments. As one of the few accredited business schools in the world (AMBA and AACSB), the University of Jyväskylä understands the importance of bringing value to its students and ensuring the highest level of up-to-date education practices.
Programme Overview
- The programme is a two-year full-time programme (120 ECTS credits) taught in English.
- The application period is once a year in January, and studies begin in August.
- There is no mid-point entry to the programme.
Tuition Fee
- The tuition fee is 12,000.
- Students from non-EU/EEA countries are liable to pay a tuition fee but can apply for a scholarship after their first year of studies.
- An Early Bird discount of 1500 is available for applicants paying tuition fees who accept their study place within 14 days.
Structure of the Degree Programme
The degree programme contains modules in business skills, research skills, communication, and language studies, with a focus on international business, entrepreneurship, and strategy. These elements are at the heart of contemporary business, where the emphasis is on creativity, diversity, and innovation.

Research
The Strategy and Entrepreneurship (S&E) research group addresses core questions in the fields of strategy and entrepreneurship research. The group members teach on the Masters Degree Programme in International Business and Entrepreneurship and on the Basic Studies in Entrepreneurship study entity as well as on the doctorate level.
Student Profile
The student body is predominantly international, providing students with the opportunity to collaborate with fellow students from over 20 different nationalities. Students are encouraged to gain international experience in various ways, such as participating in international professional training programs at enterprises in Finland or abroad.
