The ZPHU, in association with the Institute of Psychology at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, offers a state-recognized training program for Psychological Psychotherapists with a focus on behavioral therapy as a postgraduate course. The goal of this program is to lead to approval under the Psychotherapy Act (PsychThG). The training period can last either three or five years.

Overview
The training program encompasses approximately 4,200 hours, divided into theoretical training, practical activity, practical training, self-experience, and supervision, as specified by the Approval and Examination Regulation (APrV) of the PsychThG.
Inhalte und Ablauf der Ausbildung
- Theoretical training takes place in Berlin Mitte.
- Practical activity is conducted in facilities cooperating with the ZPHU.
- Practical training occurs in the ZPHU's outpatient clinic.
- Self-experience includes both group and individual settings.
- Supervision is provided in both group and individual settings.
Training participants are students at Humboldt-Universität, which offers them several benefits, including the purchase of a BVG ticket at university conditions and access to university facilities on the Adlershof campus, such as the library.
Ausbilderinnen und Ausbilder
A team of competent colleagues supports the training in the areas of theory, practical training, and self-experience. These include:
- Dozentinnen or Dozenten for theoretical aspects.
- Supervisorinnen and Supervisoren for practical training.
- Selbsterfahrungsleiterinnen and leiter for self-experience.

Ausbildungskosten und Vergütung
- The current training fees are 13,680 EUR, including group self-experience and supervision.
- Additional costs for individual self-experience (at least 10 hours) apply.
- No extra fees are charged for the application process.
- After successfully completing the intermediate colloquium and starting practical training, participants receive an honorarium.
Bewerbung
- The training begins annually in February.
- The admission requirement is a diploma or master's degree in psychology with a focus on clinical psychology in the main study program.
