Program Overview

The Humboldt-Universitat zu Berlin offers a unique program in Improvisation and Schauspiel, which combines elements of improvisational theater with serious engagement in acting. The program is designed to help participants develop their skills in improvisation, creativity, and self-expression.

Program Details

The program is led by experienced instructors and focuses on building participants' confidence and skills in improvisation and acting. The program includes a range of exercises and activities, such as:

• Improvisations with specific prompts
• Improvisations based on Keith Johnstone's methods
• Physical theater
• Warm-up exercises

Requirements and Admission Criteria

To participate in the program, applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have a good command of the German language (fluency is required)
• Have some prior experience in acting or improvisation (e.g., through workshops, school theater, or similar activities)
• Be willing to participate in physical activities and exercises that may involve body contact

Tuition Fees

The program offers different tuition fees based on the participant's status:

• 35 EUR for students
• 45 EUR for university employees
• 68 EUR for external participants and alumni

Schedule and Duration

The program takes place on Sundays from 16:15 to 19:15 at the Poststadion Mitte Tribunengebaude, Seminarraum. The program runs from October 19, 2025, to February 2, 2026.
