Program Overview
HUmwelt-Akademie
The HUmwelt-Akademie is an environmental education program at the Humboldt-Universit‰t zu Berlin. The program aims to provide environmental education on a scientific level for all.
Our Qualification Program
In cooperation with the Stiftung Naturschutz Berlin, the HUmwelt-Akademie offers a qualification and certification program in field botany. The program consists of 5 courses and 3 excursions, and is based on the recommendations of the Bundesweiter Arbeitskreis der staatlich getragenen Umweltbildungsst‰tten im Natur- und Umweltschutz (BANU). There are three levels of certification: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
- The certification program provides a reliable and verifiable way to demonstrate knowledge of plant species, as well as methodological and nature conservation competencies in field botany.
- The program is designed to motivate learning, determine performance levels, and provide proof of achievement.
- Solid botanical knowledge of plant species, understanding of ecological relationships, and competence in addressing habitats are essential tools in many areas where organisms and their habitat requirements are the subject of evaluation, planning, and protection.
Program Goals
The HUmwelt-Akademie program aims to provide participants with a deep understanding of biodiversity, botany, and ecological relationships. The program is designed to promote environmental awareness and conservation, and to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute to the preservation of biodiversity.
Certification Levels
The program offers three levels of certification:
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold Each level requires the completion of specific courses and excursions, and demonstrates a progressively higher level of knowledge and competence in field botany.
