Research Training Group Dynamic Integration Regulations
Program Overview
Introduction to DynamInt
The DynamInt graduate program is a research project at the Juristische Fakult酹 of the Humboldt-Universit酹 zu Berlin, funded by the DFG. The program started in October 2019 and is unique in its form, focusing on European law with an emphasis on internationality and grundlagenorientierung (interdisciplinary informedness).
Program Structure
The program consists of twelve Ph.D. students and several postdoctoral researchers who will work on individual and joint research projects over several years. The program aims to critically reflect on the interplay between harmonization and pluralization in the European Union, with a focus on the legal aspects.
Research Idea and Goal
The central research idea of DynamInt is to investigate the areas of intersection and overlap between different fields of law in the European Union. The goal is to develop concrete elements of a dynamic integration order, taking into account both harmonization and pluralization.
Research Areas
The research program will focus on four cross-sectional areas:
- 鈁erschie絽nde Effekte (spillover effects)
- Entwicklungsprozesse atmender Integration (development processes of breathing integration)
- Bewertungsma腠t踀e (evaluation criteria)
- Vorrechtliche Tiefenschichten und Rechtskonzepte (pre-legal depths and legal concepts)
Internationality and Grundlagenorientierung
The program is characterized by its internationality and grundlagenorientierung. Internationality is ensured through the European Law School Network, which includes universities such as the Universiteit van Amsterdam, the Europ鄜sches Hochschulinstitut Florenz, and the King's College London. Grundlagenorientierung is achieved through cooperation with various research institutes and DFG projects in Berlin and beyond.
Internationality
The program's internationality is based on the European Law School Network, which provides a structured framework for comparative research and international careers. Research stays at partner universities are possible, and the program aims to promote international careers.
Grundlagenorientierung
The program's grundlagenorientierung is ensured through cooperation with various research institutes and DFG projects. The goal is to integrate insights from other disciplines, such as economics, philosophy, and history, into the research program. The Law and Society Institute at the Juristische Fakult酹 is a prominent partner in this regard.
