The ZPHU, affiliated with the Institute of Psychology at Humboldt-Universit酹 zu Berlin, offers a state-approved training program for Psychological Psychotherapists with a focus on Behavioral Therapy as a postgraduate course, aiming for approval under the Psychotherapy Act (PsychThG). The training period can be three or five years.

Overview

The training program encompasses approximately 4,200 hours, divided into theoretical training (in Berlin Mitte), practical activity (in cooperating institutions), practical training (in the ZPHU ambulance), self-experience (group and individual), and supervision (group and individual), as per the Approval and Examination Regulation (APrV) of the PsychThG. Trainees are students at Humboldt-Universit酹, benefiting from university conditions, such as the BVG ticket and access to campus facilities like the library.

The training starts annually in February. The admission requirement is a diploma or master's degree in psychology with clinical psychology as a major subject in the main study program.
