Team- and Leadership Training for Career Entry

Course Description

This course is designed for all students who want to learn more about themselves and try out unfamiliar leadership situations. The practice of many companies shows that we often think we are team players, but teamwork does not work properly. A key reason for this is that we do not know ourselves. We look at others, but not at ourselves. We rarely ask ourselves: "Who am I? Why do others react to me the way they do? What is my contribution to good or less good cooperation in the team?" Apparently, the same problem applies to team leadership.

Course Contents

We will deal with the basics of self-awareness and self-perception. What can we learn about ourselves from the research results of psychology and neuroscience? Students will conduct a self-assessment and evaluate it for themselves. Together, we will analyze the results of an example assessment and create a basis for transferring it to individual results. Students will practice leadership situations and observe their own behavior, as well as that of others. Selected guests will inform us about the relevance of self-knowledge and self-perception in candidate interviews, teamwork, and team leadership, or about assessments in their company.

Requirements for Earning Credits

• Regular active participation
• Conducting and individual evaluation of a self-assessment (individual performance)
