Leadership-Programm für Professorinnen
The Leadership-Programm für Professorinnen is a flagship program of the Berlin Leadership Academy, designed to strengthen the leadership competencies of professorinnen at the Berlin University Alliance. The program aims to promote individual and targeted support for professorinnen, enabling them to expand their professional networks and enhance their leadership skills.
Program Description
The one-year program focuses on the individual and targeted support of professorinnen at the Berlin University Alliance. Twelve places are available per year, which are filled in a parity manner with members of the alliance partners. Program participants engage intensively with the topic of "leadership in science," participate in individual coaching, and can expand their professional networks. They are accompanied by selected coaches and trainers from the Leadership-Programm.
The Leadership-Programm consists of three modules:
- 6 workshops on the topic of "leadership in science" as well as follow-up workshops
- Leadership style analysis and up to five individual coachings
- 4 network events
Target Group
The program is aimed at professorinnen of the Berlin University Alliance who are already in a responsible position due to their activities and who want to expand and strengthen their individual competencies as leaders. W2/C3- and W3/C4-professorinnen on permanent positions can apply for the program. The participation of S-professorinnen and junior professors is not intended.
Selection Process
The participants are selected according to various criteria such as career age and diversity of subject affiliation using a standardized procedure by the Scientific Advisory Board of the Berlin Leadership Academy.
Program Details
- The program takes place over a calendar year, with six full-day workshops and four network events.
- Participation in the program requires the willingness to make time for these events in the calendar.
- The program is not performance-based, and the composition of the groups is balanced in terms of characteristics such as career age and subject affiliation.
Berlin Leadership Academy
The Berlin Leadership Academy coordinates the development of leadership in the Berlin University Alliance, expands it, and develops it further to strengthen the alliance as a whole. The academy's offer is aimed specifically at higher leadership personnel of the four alliance partners, supporting them in strengthening their leadership competencies and networking with colleagues in the alliance.
