Program Overview
Bachelor Program in Business Administration
The Bachelor program in Business Administration at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin offers a comprehensive education in business administration with a strong focus on quantitative methods. The program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in business administration, as well as the ability to analyze and solve complex problems using quantitative methods.
Program Structure
The program consists of three main areas:
- Pflichtbereich (Pflichtbereich, 101 LP): This area includes mandatory modules such as external accounting, internal accounting, strategy, organization, and IT, as well as mathematics, statistics, and econometrics.
- Fachlicher Wahlpflichtbereich (54 LP): This area allows students to specialize in a specific field of business administration, such as financial economics, entrepreneurship, or marketing.
- Überfachlicher Wahlpflichtbereich (25 LP): This area provides students with the opportunity to take modules from other faculties, learn new languages, or participate in career-oriented courses.
Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the program, students must have a general or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification, as well as proficiency in German at the C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Practical Training
The program includes a practical training component, which must be completed during the course of study. The training must have a duration of at least 6 weeks full-time and must be related to the field of study.
Bachelor Thesis
The bachelor thesis is a mandatory component of the program and must be completed within 60 calendar days. The thesis should have a scope of approximately 60,000 characters without spaces (ca. 25-30 pages without appendices).
