École dété dimmersion en français

Program Description

The École dété dimmersion en français is a four-week program designed for individuals aged 18 and above, offering an immersive French language experience. The program takes place from July 6 to July 26, 2026, with a deadline for registration on June 5, 2026.


Program Structure

  • The program consists of:
    • 45 hours of classes
    • 8 hours of conversation workshops
    • 24 hours of sociocultural activities
    • 15 hours of optional activities (some of which may incur additional costs)

Levels and Curriculum

  • The program is offered at three different levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced (A1 and A2, B1 and B2, C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
  • The curriculum is designed to improve participants' knowledge, skills, and ability to express themselves in French, while also discovering Montreal and its Francophone culture.

Tuition and Fees

  • The cost of the program (without accommodation) is $1,675 CAD.
  • This cost includes:
    • Administrative fees (non-refundable)
    • Placement test
    • Classes
    • Sociocultural activities
    • Workshops
    • Pedagogical materials
    • Public transportation card (bus and metro)
    • Certificate of attendance
  • Not included in this cost are travel to and from Montreal, meals, accommodation, and optional activities.

Sociocultural Activities

  • Each week, participants will have the opportunity to discover Montreal and enrich their experience and vocabulary through various themes, such as:
    • Arts and culture: Discover Mount Royal and participate in the Montreal International Jazz Festival.
    • Indigenous cultures: Discover indigenous cultures and experience their power through a Pow Wow and the sharing of vibrant ancient knowledge. Visit the Botanical Garden.
    • Environment: The environment is highlighted at the Biodome, where participants will have the opportunity to discover a wide range of biodiversity.
    • Local delicacies: Activities and outings will be confirmed.

Accommodation

  • Accommodation is not included in the program cost.
  • Recommended student residences include:
    • Chelsea House
    • Campus1 MTL
    • Evo Montreal

Cancellation Policy

  • 31 days before the start of classes: The program cost is refundable, except for administrative fees of $150 CAD.
  • From 30 to 11 days before the start of classes: The program cost is refundable at 40%.
  • 10 days before the start of classes: No refund.
  • In case of serious illness, inability to obtain a visa, or late issuance of a visa, participants may be eligible for a refund of the program cost, minus non-refundable administrative fees of $150 CAD, upon presentation of official documentation.

Refund Request for Exceptional Approved Reasons

  • If participants are unable to attend the program due to approved exceptional reasons (serious illness, inability to obtain a visa, late issuance of a visa), they may be eligible for a refund of the program cost, minus non-refundable administrative fees.
  • Official documentation must be provided to support the reason for cancellation.

Program Cancellation

  • In the event that the program is cancelled due to low enrollment (minimum of 12 students required), participants will be entitled to a full refund.
