Externship

The Externat program is a mandatory eight-week internship in psychiatry, which will be reduced to six weeks starting from August 2014.

Compulsory Psychiatry Internships (MMD 3505)

The externship in psychiatry is a rich experience, offering diverse possibilities due to the variety of host environments and the unique culture of each environment.

Internship Environments

The externat internships take place in the psychiatry and child psychiatry services of the establishments affiliated to the Universitť de Montrťal, which are part of the Universitary Integrated Health Network of the University (RUIS de l’UdeM).

Head of Psychiatry Internship

The responsible person for the psychiatry internship is Dr. Fťlix Antoine Bťrubť, M.D., Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Psychiatry, University Institute of Mental Health of Montreal.
