Introduction to the Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition

Program Mission
The mission of the Department of Nutrition at the University of Montreal is to train nutritionists who will offer expertise, care, and services in human nutrition and food to promote, maintain, and restore the health of individuals and populations.

The program aims to develop six competencies and is based on seven professional values.

- Improve population nutrition: Base practice on the best available data, include social determinants of health, and integrate a critical analysis of the context and a perspective on food systems.
- Manage programs, projects, and services: Integrate context analysis, consider client needs and resources.

The 120-credit program includes 38 courses, with:
- 36 required courses
- 1 optional course
- 1 elective course
- 9 internships totaling 1400 hours over 40 weeks
