Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering

The Maîtrise en Génie Biomédical is a master's program offered by the Université de Montréal, in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and Polytechnique Montréal. This multidisciplinary program aims to deepen students' technological and scientific knowledge in biomedical engineering.

Program Structure

The program consists of 45 credits and can be completed in three trimesters. Students can choose from three pathways:

• Pathway with dissertation or thesis
• Path without dissertation or thesis
• Progress with guided work

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the program, students must:

• Hold a bachelor's degree in science, applied science, or engineering, or a doctorate in medicine, veterinary medicine, or dental medicine
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.3
• Demonstrate a good understanding of French and English
• Obtain the support of a professor who agrees to supervise their work

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees for the program vary depending on the student's status:

• Permanent resident of Quebec: $2,183.05 per quarter
• Non-resident Canadian in Quebec: $5,393.20 per quarter
• International student: $11,998.60 per term
