The Doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences is a graduate program offered by the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Montreal. This program aims to train independent researchers capable of contributing to the advancement of knowledge in a specific field of medicine and its use.

Admission Requirements

Admission requirements include:


  • hold a master's degree in pharmaceutical sciences with thesis in the chosen option, or provide proof of training deemed equivalent
  • Have obtained, in the 2nd cycle, an average of at least 3.3 out of 4.3 or the equivalent
  • Have a knowledge of the French language reaching the level that the University considers minimum to engage in the program
  • Have a good knowledge of English, particularly in terms of reading

Costs and Financial Assistance

Costs include:


  • Tuition fees: $1,513.35 (permanent resident of Quebec)
  • Other fees payable: $669.70
  • Total for a full-time quarter of 15 credits: $2,183.05 (permanent resident of Quebec) Graduate and postdoctoral scholarships, as well as postgraduate scholarships, are available to students enrolled in this program.
