Program Overview

The Doctorat civil en thťologie is a research-based program that aims to form scholars and researchers open to interdisciplinarity, capable of conducting high-level research in academic, ecclesiastical, private, or public sectors. The program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to produce an original work that contributes to the advancement of knowledge in the field of theology.


Program Structure

  • The program consists of 90 credits.
  • It is offered on a full-time or part-time basis.
  • The program includes a research seminar and a thesis.

Admission Requirements

  • To be eligible, applicants must have a Master's degree in Theology or a related field, with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 out of 4.3.
  • Applicants must also demonstrate a sufficient knowledge of French and English, as well as any other language necessary for their research.
  • A letter of intention, a brief CV, and a research project outline are required as part of the application process.
  • Three letters of recommendation are also required.
