Maîtrise en Histoire, Option Histoire en Pratique
The Maîtrise en Histoire, Option Histoire en Pratique is a program designed to provide students with a solid foundation in historical research and practice, while also preparing them for a career in various fields related to history.
Guide de l'Option Histoire en Pratique
This program is one of three options available in the Maîtrise en Histoire program, and it is designed to provide students with a unique combination of theoretical and practical training. The program is founded on four key elements:
- 2 mandatory seminars that explore the links between history, contemporary society, and the workforce
- 1 seminar in history chosen based on the location of the internship
- 3 courses chosen based on the location of the internship, such as project management, communication, ethics, etc.
- 1 internship in a public or private organization, with the writing of an internship essay (approximately 40 pages)
Admission and Program Structure
Admission to the program is available in the fall and winter semesters, and the program can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis. The program consists of 45 credits, including:
- 18 credits of coursework
- 15 credits of internship
- 12 credits for the internship essay
