Program Overview
Baccalaurťat en Microbiologie et Immunologie
The Baccalaurťat en Microbiologie et Immunologie is a 90-credit program that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of microbiology and immunology. The program is designed to develop students' intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and maturity, as well as the skills and techniques essential for a career in microbiology.
Program Structure
The program consists of a common segment (57 credits) and two orientations: Microbiologie et Immunologie Molťculaires (66 credits) and Microbiologie Environnementale (68 credits). The common segment includes courses in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, and microbiology.
Orientation: Microbiologie et Immunologie Molťculaires
This orientation focuses on the molecular aspects of microbiology and immunology. Students will acquire knowledge of the latest technologies and applications in microbiology, including molecular biology, immunology, and virology.
Orientation: Microbiologie Environnementale
This orientation focuses on the environmental aspects of microbiology. Students will acquire knowledge of the diversity, functions, and interactions of microorganisms in ecosystems, including the role of microbes in biogeochemical cycles, ecotoxicology, and the maintenance of health.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission, students must have a diploma of college studies (DEC) in sciences, letters, and arts, or a equivalent diploma. Students must also have completed specific courses in biology, chemistry, and mathematics.
