Undergraduate doctorate in veterinary medicine

The Doctorate of 1er Cycle in Veterinary Medicine is a program offered by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.


Study regulations

The program is governed by the Regulations on first cycle studies and the following provisions:


  • Art. 6.3 Registration regime: The student is registered full-time, with part-time registration only allowed in exceptional cases.
  • Art. 6.4 Registration requirements: The student must register for specific courses in each year of the program.
  • Art. 6.10 Education: The minimum duration of the program is ten trimesters, and the maximum duration is seven years.
  • Art. 9.2c …evaluation in the form of observation: The student's behavior and attitudes are evaluated according to the additional training requirements indicated by the Faculty at the beginning of the program.
  • Art. 11.1 Course grading and transcript entries: The Faculty uses a specific grading scale.
  • Art. 11.2 Average determining the progress in the program: The annual average determines the progression in the program.
  • Art. 13.4 Modalities for retaking following a failure of a course or an internship: The student who fails a course must retake the exam or do additional work.
  • Art. 14.1 Promotion system: The promotion system is based on the annual average.
  • Art. 14.3 a) i) Progression under probation: The student with an annual average of at least 2.0, but with a course average below 2.0, is placed on probation.
  • Art. 15 d) Standards of success - Program: In addition to passing the program courses, the student must develop their transversal and specific skills through suggested activities.
  • Art. 18 Granting of degrees and certificates: The successful completion of the program leads to the awarding of the Doctorat de first cycle en medicine veterinaire (D.M.V.).
