Program Overview

The Majeure en musiques, histoire et sociťtťs is an interdisciplinary program that explores the phenomenon of music, its past, and its present. This program provides students with fundamental knowledge about music and its relationship to other fields of knowledge. It also introduces students to methodological and conceptual tools that enable them to connect music to other areas of study.

Admission Requirements

  • The program has an unlimited capacity.
  • To be eligible, applicants must have a diploma of college studies (DEC) awarded by the Quebec Ministry of Education or equivalent.
  • Applicants must also pass the placement tests in solfŤge and dictation, music theory, analysis, and writing, as well as submit a letter of presentation.

  • Resident of Quebec: $2,177.05 per trimester (15 credits)
  • Canadian non-resident of Quebec: $5,387.20 per trimester (15 credits)
  • International student: $15,602.05 per trimester (15 credits)
  • French or Belgian francophone student: $5,387.20 per trimester (15 credits)
