The Doctorat en thťologie - …tudes bibliques is a postgraduate program offered by the Facultť des arts et des sciences at the Universitť de Montrťal. The program aims to train specialists in biblical exegesis who master different methods of exegesis.

Objectives

The objectives of the Ph.D. in Biblical Studies are to:

• Form specialists in biblical exegesis who master different methods of exegesis
• Produce original works in the application of exegetical methods to a particular problem, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the discipline
• Train high-level researchers
• Provide training to teach biblical exegesis at a university level
• Train specialists who can act as interveners or consultants

Program Structure

The program consists of 90 credits and offers a full-time and part-time study option. The program is available in French.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the program, applicants must:

• Hold a Master's degree in Theology - Biblical Studies or an equivalent degree
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.3 out of 4.3
• Demonstrate a sufficient knowledge of French and English, as well as any other language necessary for their research
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of biblical Hebrew or Greek

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees for the program vary depending on the student's status:

• Resident of Quebec: $2,183.05 per trimester (15 credits)
• Canadian student (outside Quebec): $2,183.05 per trimester (15 credits)
• International student: $9,972.10 per trimester (15 credits)
• French or Belgian francophone student: $2,183.05 per trimester (15 credits)
