Program Overview


Maîtrise en Sciences de l'Éducation, Option Mesure et Évaluation en Éducation

The M.A. in Education, Measurement and Evaluation option is a research-based program that aims to perfect candidates in the field of measurement and evaluation, enabling them to act as advisors. This program is attached to the Department of Administration and Foundations of Education, which has three main functions: teaching, research, and services in its three areas of specialization.

Admission Requirements

General Admission Requirements

  • Candidates must satisfy the general admission requirements of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
  • Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Education or another bachelor's degree that adequately prepares them for the studies they wish to undertake.
  • Candidates must have obtained a minimum grade point average of 3.0 out of 4.3 at the undergraduate level.
  • Candidates must demonstrate a good knowledge of French and English.

Specific Admission Requirements

  • Diplomas required and admission thresholds for Quebec:
    • Accepted diploma: Bachelor's degree, duration of 3 years, or another equivalent undergraduate degree.
    • Minimum average: 75% (Bishop's), 3.0/4.3 (Concordia University, École de Technologie Supérieure, HEC Montréal, Université de Montréal, Université Laval, Universités du Québec), 3.0/4.0 (McGill University), 2.75/4.0 (Polytechnique Montréal).
  • Conditions for candidates from other provinces and countries:
    • Candidates must select their province or country to view the specific admission requirements.

Tuition Fees

    • Quebec resident: $2,183.05 per trimester (15 credits)
    • Canadian non-Quebec resident: $5,393.20 per trimester (15 credits)
    • International student: $11,998.60 per trimester (15 credits)
    • French or Belgian francophone student: $2,183.05 per trimester (15 credits)
