Introduction to the International Business Major
The Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business is a 124-credit undergraduate program offered by the Fox School of Business at Temple University. This program is designed to provide students with a global business perspective, teaching them the skills necessary to thrive in the ever-changing global economy.
Program Overview
The International Business major prepares students for the complex challenges businesses face when operating on a global scale. Through comprehensive coursework, students broaden their understanding of how foreign economic, legal, and political frameworks can impact international trade. They also develop foundational knowledge of global business concepts and practices, including:

Concentrations
This degree program can be completed with or without a concentration. The available concentrations include:
- International Supply Chain Management, Transportation, and Logistics: Gain logistical and problem-solving skills required for work in global commerce.
- International Economics: Explore complex economic models through a global lens.
- International Finance: Develop competency around financial theory and management concepts relevant to global markets and firms.
- International Marketing: Apply a global perspective to market analysis, developing strategies that consider cultural, economic, legal, and political differences.
- International Sales and Business Development: Explore the complexities of sales and sales management within international marketplaces.
- International Entrepreneurship: Learn to identify and pursue opportunities on an international scale.
Classes and Curriculum
There are three required classes common across all six International Business concentrations, including a capstone course taken during the final semester. These core classes amount to nine credits of the major's overall 126-credit requirement. The three common courses are:
- Global Entrepreneurship
- International Business Practicum
- International Marketing
Certificates
Students have the option of completing one of the following certificates alongside International Business major coursework:
- Certificate in Asian Business and Society: Earned after completing a minimum of 15 credits and satisfying the language requirement in Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, or Korean.
- Certificate of Specialization: Spanish and Latin American Studies for Business: Earned after completing 18 credits or six courses.

Students can broaden their understanding of global economies and business practices by taking advantage of various study abroad options and opportunities for learning beyond Temple's Main Campus in Philadelphia through Global Immersion Programs.
Temple Exchange Programs
Through reciprocal exchange agreements with universities around the world, Temple students can exchange places with students for a semester or academic year. Some programs require sufficient proficiency in the host country language to participate. Participating universities include:
