Mechanical Engineering Technology Major

The Mechanical Engineering Technology Major is a program that prepares students for careers in numerous industries relevant to their course of study. The program is highly specialized, yet broadly applicable, positioning students for gainful employment in an array of professional roles.


Internships & Opportunities

The College of Engineering at Temple University encourages engineering undergraduates to participate in summer internships. After graduation, most students who have completed internships receive offers of employment for positions that are more prestigious and satisfying than the typical entry-level job. Undergraduate Research Internships

The College of Engineering encourages its students to get involved in research, using open labs and simulation software, and working with faculty. Temple also provides Educational Enhancement stipends, which fund approved faculty-mentored research, creative projects, or unpaid internships during the summer or approved study abroad during the academic year for first-year Honors students.
