Program Overview

Clinical Education

The Nursing Resource Center at Temple's Health Sciences Center campus is a simulation-based learning environment that utilizes state-of-the-art technology to replicate clinical practice in a safe environment. Nursing students will be able to develop their critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills by participating in real-life situations in a controlled simulated setting with guidance from faculty.

Simulation Lab

You will experience high-quality simulation-based learning throughout your nursing education. You will also participate in a variety of patient and community scenarios that increase in complexity as your nursing knowledge and skill grows.

Clinical Rotations

BSN students complete 973 hours of clinical, direct care, lab, simulation, and field experience in community and hospital settings.

  • Clinical rotations include:
    • Medical-surgical nursing
    • Critical care nursing
    • Psychiatric nursing
    • Obstetrical nursing
    • Pediatric nursing During the last semester of the program, students will complete a precepted internship experience, which involves one-on-one mentoring by a nurse in a care delivery setting of the student's choice.
