Introduction to the Nursing Major

Bachelor of Science in Nursing
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at Temple University is a four-year program that requires 124 credits. The program is accredited and has a strong reputation for producing competent and compassionate nurses. The BSN program can be completed through two pathways: the Traditional BSN, which is a four-year program for students entering with a high school diploma, and the Accelerated BSN, which is a 16-month program for individuals who have already earned a bachelor's degree in another major.
Program Format
The BSN program is an eight-semester program that includes coursework in humanities, science fundamentals, and basic nursing theory and skills. The program progresses from simple to complex care, with a focus on meeting the needs of individuals across the lifespan.
