Health Justice and Bioethics Program

The Health Justice and Bioethics master's program has five learning objectives:

1. Foundational Knowledge: Students will be conversant in the foundational texts and/or legal or medical cases from the field of bioethics.
2. Ethical arguments: Students will have gained the skills to recognize, analyze, and make ethical arguments.
3. Methodological tools: Students will understand the range of critical social science methodologies and appreciate their strengths and limitations for bioethics-related research.
4. Apply health justice and bioethics: Students will have the skills to apply the bioethics toolbox to their respective disciplines.
5. Engaging with community: Students will have gained the skills to approach a community site with humility, identify and engage with community members, and be an advocate for the inclusion of community organizations and voices.
