Introduction to the Pre-Pharmacy Early Assurance Program
The Temple University School of Pharmacy (TUSP) offers a seamless path into the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program for qualified undergraduate students. This program is designed for high school students committed to becoming pharmacists, providing a fast, efficient, and cost-effective pathway to a PharmD.
Program Details
The Pre-Pharmacy Early Assurance Program consists of two years of undergraduate Pre-Pharmacy coursework and four years in the professional PharmD program. By meeting the progression requirements of the two-year Pre-Pharmacy program, students will be granted a seat in the first professional year of the PharmD Program at TUSP.

Admission Requirements
All accepted first-year pre-pharmacy students at Temple University are enrolled directly into the early assurance program. Admission criteria include:
- Maintaining a pre-requisite GPA requirement
- Application to PharmCas
- Successful completion of an interview
Prerequisites and PharmD Admission Requirements
Temple University undergraduate students who are not enrolled in the Early Assurance Program or undergraduate students at other colleges or universities may still apply to the PharmD program through PharmCAS.
Tuition Fees
- In-State Tuition: $23,112
- Out-of-State Tuition: $38,160

Students who are admitted to Temple University as a Pharmaceutical Sciences major can choose to follow one of two paths:
- Early Assurance Program (0 to 6 year PharmD)
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences
