Residency Program

The Residency Program in Emergency Medicine is designed to provide residents with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to succeed in this challenging and rewarding field. The program is led by Megan Healy, MD, Professor and Residency Program Director in the Department of Emergency Medicine.


Program Overview

The program provides a robust clinical training environment with high volumes, acuity, and complexity. Temple University Hospital is a Level I trauma center, caring for the highest number of penetrating injuries in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The hospital's Burn Center, active transplant service, and internationally recognized cardiology and pulmonology services add to the educational experience.
