Aerospace Studies - Air Force ROTC (AIRF)
The Aerospace Studies - Air Force ROTC (AIRF) program is designed to introduce students to the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps. The program aims to prepare cadets to serve as Air Force officers, focusing on leadership, management, and communication skills.
Course Descriptions
The following courses are part of the AIRF program:
- AIRF 1011: Foundations of the United States Air Force I: A survey course that introduces students to the mission and organization of the Air Force, officership and professionalism, military customs and courtesies, and Air Force career opportunities.
- AIRF 1012: Air Force Leadership Laboratory I: A mandatory leadership laboratory that provides cadets with hands-on experience in leadership and management techniques.
- AIRF 1021: The Foundation of the United States Air Force II: A survey course that covers Air Force Core Values, teambuilding, interpersonal communications, diversity, and the Oath of Office.
- AIRF 1022: Air Force Leadership Laboratory II: A mandatory leadership laboratory that provides cadets with followership experiences and the opportunity to practice leadership and management techniques.
- AIRF 2031: The Evolution of U.S. Aerospace Power I: A survey course that facilitates the transition from Air Force ROTC cadet to Air Force ROTC officer candidate, covering Air Force heritage, leaders, ethics, and values.
- AIRF 2041: The Evolution of U.S. Aerospace Power II: A survey course that continues to facilitate the transition from Air Force ROTC cadet to Air Force ROTC officer candidate, covering Air Force heritage, leaders, ethics, and values.
- AIRF 3011: Air Force Leadership Studies I: A study of leadership and quality management fundamentals, professional knowledge, Air Force doctrine, leadership ethics, and communication skills required of an Air Force junior officer.
- AIRF 3021: Air Force Leadership Studies II: A study of leadership and quality management fundamentals, professional knowledge, Air Force doctrine, leadership ethics, and communication skills required of an Air Force junior officer.
- AIRF 4031: National Security Affairs I: A course that examines the national security process, regional studies, advanced leadership ethics, and Air Force doctrine.
- AIRF 4041: National Security Affairs II: A course that examines the national security process, regional studies, advanced leadership ethics, and Air Force doctrine.

Fees
