The university program in question is ARTU 2351, also known as Artist Books. This program spans 3 Credit Hours and is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of bookbinding and limited printmaking processes.

Course Details

Throughout the semester, students will learn about:

• Basic book binding terminology, tools, and structures
  • This includes understanding the core principles of bookbinding
• Basic printmaking techniques
  • Covering hand printing techniques
  • Alternative printmaking processes
• Development and dissemination of work completed in class
• Working knowledge of contemporary practices and working artists in the Book Arts

Repeatability

This course may not be repeated for additional credits.
