Overview
The Bachelor of Science (Extended) is a degree exclusively for talented Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who are interested in science but have not had the opportunity to meet the Bachelor of Science entry requirements. This course is available to domestic students only.

Entry Requirements
- Guaranteed ATAR 2026: 65.00
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who receive an ATAR score of more than 50 are encouraged to apply.
- Access Melbourne is available.
Course Structure
The Bachelor of Science (Extended) has been re-designed as a 3.5 year course, with the first undergraduate exit diploma at the University of Melbourne. Students will focus on a science discipline of their choice in Year 1, with guidance from a discipline mentor to help build confidence. In Year 2, students will be able to select from the full range of over 40 majors.
