Overview
The Professional Certificate in Treaty is a graduate coursework program developed and delivered by the Australian Center at the University of Melbourne. Course Overview
This online certificate is ideal for public servants working across all levels of government, as well as First Nations and Indigenous organisations, who will be involved in treaty processes in coming years. Throughout this course, students will examine important legal frameworks and reflect on historical and contemporary research, policies, and practices that are pivotal to treaty-making processes between Indigenous Peoples and settler-societies.
Course Aims
Upon completion, students will be armed with the skills and knowledge to understand and confidently influence treaty negotiations.

If students are interested in enrolling in the Professional Certificate in Treaty but are not degree holders, course entry may be obtained via completion of the four micro-credentials in the Preparing For Treaty series.
Pathways
Applicants who have completed four micro-credentials in the Preparing for Treaty series or Self-Determination and Community Services series may be eligible for advanced standing for ARTS90034 Indigenous Treaties & Future Relations.
