Overview

The Specialist Certificate in the Management of Neuro-Ophthalmic Disorders is a part-time course designed for established optometrists seeking to continue their professional development and extend their abilities in the evaluation of the sensory and motor pathways of the visual system. This course is offered by the Department of Optometry & Vision Sciences in the School of Health Sciences and is entirely online.

  • Fees: AUD $7,024 (2025 indicative first year fee). Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) are not available.

Target Audience

This course is designed for already-qualified optometrists looking to advance their existing skills and knowledge. It does not carry professional accreditation and is not a pathway to professional registration as an optometrist. International students are welcome to study this course, but please note that it is not available to international students who require a student visa to study in Australia as it does not meet the onshore study requirements and is not registered with CRICOS.


Continuing Professional Development

You will also gain accredited continuing professional development (CPD) points as you study and work towards the Masters qualification. CPD points are relevant to practitioners based in Australia or New Zealand. Suitably qualified overseas candidates are also welcome to apply.
