JBI Scoping Review Workshop

The JBI Scoping Review workshop is a two-half-day online course that enables participants to explore the theories and concepts relating to scoping reviews and other types of evidence synthesis. The workshop equips participants with the knowledge and tools required to successfully plan for and undertake a scoping review following the JBI approach.

• Higher degree research students

What you'll learn

At the end of this training program, participants will be able to:

• Construct an answerable scoping question
• Develop inclusion and exclusion criteria to identify literature to answer the question
• Construct complex searches for literature appropriate to the scoping question
• Extract relevant data from the literature
• Synthesize extracted research data to form conclusions and answer the review question
• Construct a publishable protocol and review report

Teaching and Useful Information

The course will be held over two half days (09:30 - 13:30 each day) and will be delivered remotely online. Participants will need a computer with a good internet connection and a camera function, as well as the ability to sign into Microsoft Teams.

Eligibility and Fees

• Cardiff University staff (School of Healthcare Sciences) may be eligible for a 100% funded place.
• PhD students studying at Cardiff University are eligible for a partially funded place, with a fee of £60.
• Non-Healthcare staff at Cardiff University are eligible for a discounted place, with a fee of £155.
