Introduction to the Accounting and Finance (BSc) Program
The Accounting and Finance (BSc) program is designed to equip students with practical skills and professional confidence for a successful career in accounting and finance-related roles, or in preparation for postgraduate study and research.

The entry requirements for this program include:

- Extended/International Project Qualification: Applicants with grade A in the EPQ/IPQ will typically receive an offer one grade lower than the standard offer
- International Baccalaureate: 34-31 overall or 666-665 in 3 HL subjects
- Baccalaureate Wales: From September 2023, there will be a new qualification called the Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales (level 3)
- GCSE and other essential requirements: English language or Welsh language at GCSE grade C/4 or an equivalent, and GCSE Maths grade B/6 or equivalent qualification
- English language requirements: GCSE Grade C or grade 4 in GCSE English Language, IELTS (academic) at least 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each subskill, TOEFL iBT at least 90 overall with a minimum of 17 for writing, 17 for listening, 18 for reading, and 20 for speaking, PTE Academic at least 69 overall with a minimum of 59 in all communicative skills, Trinity ISE II/III: II: at least two Distinctions and two Merits, III: at least a Pass in all components

Course Structure
This is a three-year, full-time course, consisting of 120 credits a year. All modules are compulsory in year one. In year two and year three, students choose modules to the value of 120 credits from a range of core and optional modules.

Learning and Assessment
The teaching is heavily informed by research and combines academic rigour with practical relevance. Assessment methods vary from module to module but include a mixture of exams, coursework, essays, practical work, presentations, and individual and group projects.
Careers and Placements
The program offers excellent career prospects, with 97% of students in employment and/or further study within six months of graduating. Career consultations, interview and CV writing workshops, industry-specific events, and specialist psychometric assessment and broad skills training are available. Placement opportunities are also available, and students can undertake a year-long placement or a year abroad.
