The Physical Geography: Exploring Earth's Systems and Landscapes course is designed to introduce the fundamental principles of physical geography. This course examines the Earth's formation, plate tectonics, landscape processes, climate systems, and biogeography, exploring how physical, biological, and chemical processes shape natural systems and human-environment interactions.

Learning and Teaching

The course is delivered online over 12 weeks via self-paced learning materials, short recordings, and interactive activities. Students will work through mapping exercises and applied tasks designed for flexible study. Two optional field trips will give students the chance to explore local landscapes and practise field observation skills.

To award academic credits, it is essential to demonstrate the knowledge and skills acquired or enhanced through tangible evidence. The assessment process is designed to enhance the learning experience, building confidence and aligning with the needs of adult learners who manage busy schedules.
