Program Overview
Community Health and Prevention (MPH)
The Master of Public Health (MPH) in Community Health and Prevention at Drexel University's Dornsife School of Public Health is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to address the major drivers of community health. Through a combination of classroom and practical experiences, students develop marketable skills relevant to pursuing a unique public health career upon graduation. Graduates of the program are leaders in health education, community organization, and advocacy efforts that promote the health of communities locally, nationally, and globally.

Requirements
All application materials must be sent to the Schools of Public Health Application Service (SOPHAS) for the application to be considered complete and eligible for admissions review.
- Graduate Admission Application: Applicants should apply using SOPHAS.
- Transcripts: Provide official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
- International Transcript Evaluation: For international applicants, transcripts must be evaluated by an approved agency.
- Standardized Test Scores: GRE test scores are not required. International applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency through TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, or PTE, unless they meet the criteria for a waiver.
- Essay: An essay discussing interest in public health, career goals, and why Drexel University is chosen. Typical length is 600800 words.
- Rťsumť: A rťsumť or CV is required.
- Letters of Recommendation: Three letters of recommendation are required, preferably from faculty members.
Additional Information
- Prior to enrolling, applicants must have completed a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- A course in statistics is highly recommended.
- Competitive applicants typically have a GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
