Program Overview


MS in Complementary and Integrative Health

The MS in Complementary and Integrative Health program is designed to provide health care professionals with the tools to assess, guide, and evaluate patients by merging complementary and integrative health practices into the framework of conventional clinical practice.

This evidence-based program explores topics such as phytomedicine, functional nutrition, and mind/body modalities, providing a solid foundation in core competencies, as well as a theoretical basis for applying these practices.

Program Features

  • Option to simultaneously pursue the Health & Well-Being Coach Training Certificate through a collaborative partnership with Duke University.
  • Students who successfully complete Drexel's Certificate of Advanced Study in Complementary and Integrative Therapies program and wish to complete the associated MS in Complementary and Integrative Health may apply some or all credits to that program.
  • Courses taught by integrative health care practitioners and internationally-recognized leaders in the field
  • Congruent with the educational standards set forth by the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA) and meets the core competencies of the Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine & Health
  • Available entirely online

Admissions Criteria

  • Open to health care professionals from a variety of disciplines, including:
    • Nurses, physician's assistants, psychologists, women's health practitioners, members of oncology organizations, clinical nutritionists, and couple and family therapists
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a major in a health-related field
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0
    • If your GPA is lower, you're still encouraged to apply, but should ensure that relevant professional experience is included on your resume.
  • Two professional letters of recommendation from either previous or immediate supervisors or former faculty members who can attest to your clinical knowledge, skill, and potential aptitude for graduate study
    • If you have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, this requirement can be waived

Tuition

  • The tuition rate for the academic year is $1119 per credit.
  • For the academic year, students enrolled in an online graduate academic program will be charged a graduate online program fee of $125 per year.
  • This program is eligible for Financial Aid.
