The primary goal of the Master's Programme in Marketing and E-Business is to familiarise the students with the problems of the interdependencies between the functions and economics of the distribution channel. Based on the knowledge gained in the bachelor's programme, specialised and especially methodical knowledge is deepened and extended.

General information: What is it all about?
The primary goal of the Master's programme in Marketing and E-Business is to familiarise the students with the problems of the interdependencies between the functions and economics of the distribution channel. Based on the knowledge gained in the bachelor's programme, specialised and especially methodical knowledge is deepened and extended.
A coordinated combination of the subjects marketing, distribution and business information systems enables graduates to solve complex tasks that usually cover many economic levels in businesses. They will also be able to answer research questions that are increasingly characterised by the interdependencies between different fields of research.
Recommended language skills
Sufficient German language skills are required. Good language skills in English are recommended.

The application of advanced economic core competencies are deepened in the individual form of the programme, enabling the student to acquire market qualifications that are of great importance in practice.
This enables our graduates to create supply chain management concepts in industry and trade, to further develop distribution channels, to implement multi-channel marketing and market-oriented management information systems, as well as attain managing positions in these areas later on. The degree qualifies the graduates for doctoral studies at universities in Germany or abroad as well as for positions in well-known research institutes.

Structure
The Master's programme in Marketing and E-Business lasts 4 semesters, during which 120 credits must be earned. It is divided into the course phase (1st-3rd semester) and the master's thesis (4th semester). In the master's programme, students gain in-depth knowledge in the business subjects marketing and business information systems/e-business.

- Four 'basic modules' from the areas marketing and e-business (24 credits)
- One seminar (6 credits)

- Electives: 30 credits may be freely selected from the courses offered in the master's programme
- Master's thesis: 30 credits, presented in a colloquium
