Structure of the Programme

  • A total of 120 credits must be earned in the Master's degree programme in Agricultural Sciences.
  • Modules amounting to 90 credits must be completed, whereby 6 credits are generally awarded for a successfully passed module.
  • In addition, there is the Master's thesis (24 credits) including a colloquium (6 credits).
  • The programme is modularised, which has the following advantages:

Requirements

  • At least six semesters of study with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree totalling at least 180 ECTS credits in the degree programme Agricultural Sciences or in a closely related subject.
  • At least 150 ECTS credits of the 180 ECTS must be proven at the time of application

Pre-study

  • Achievements in agricultural sciences, plant sciences, animal sciences, resource management, natural sciences, or economics and social sciences amounting to at least 90 credits, of which at least 60 credits in credits in agricultural, crop, or livestock sciences.

Language Skills

  • Applicants without a German higher education entrance qualification and without a Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a German higher education institution must provide proof of sufficient knowledge of the German language.
