Practice-Oriented Nursing Science (B.Sc.)

Details

Study Specialisations with Options
When applying for the degree program, students decide on one of the two study specialisations: 'Intensive care and anesthesia nursing' or 'oncological nursing'. In addition, students can choose the option 'with further specialist training' and have the opportunity to take an additional examination at the end of the 5th semester and practical assignments between the on-campus courses to obtain the qualification 'Specialist in Intensive Care and Anesthesia Nursing' or 'Specialist in Oncological Nursing'.

Structure
The program includes interprofessionalism, practical action, and the organisation of modules.
- Interprofessionalism: Students learn together with other healthcare professions and develop the theory and practice of successful teamwork.
- Practical Action: In the practical modules, topics from the completed modules are taken up, and practical university tasks are set.
- Organisation of the Modules: The lectures are generally organised in blocks of 3-5 days and take place in G—ttingen.
Application
The application process includes a study aptitude test, which is required for admission to the program. The test relates to the chosen area of specialisation. A successfully passed aptitude test is required in order to apply for and enrol on the degree program. The application period is from June 1 to July 15.
