Dentistry (State Examination)
Features
The study of dentistry at the University of G—ttingen is practice- and patient-oriented as well as scientifically based. Students carry out patient treatments during their studies, always under the intensive guidance and supervision of university lecturers and assistants. The ultra-modern phantom course room provides 40 workstations with multimedia equipment for training on phantom heads. The Student Innovation and Training Center for Dentistry (SINUZ) enables students to train and improve their practical skills outside of lectures.

Structure
Preclinical Study Section
The pre-clinical course in dentistry comprises 4 standard semesters, teaching the central scientific and dental propaedeutic basics for further studies.
Phantom Year
The phantom year serves to learn central practical skills for the later treatment of patients in extensive practical training on the phantom head, comprising 2 semesters.
Clinical Study Section Dentistry
The clinical course of study in dentistry lasts at least 4 semesters, characterized by practical training, with the third section of the dental examination taking place over the course of six months (examination semester).
